On the instructions of Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, the party organized block-level rallies across West Bengal under its Rashtrawadi Karmasuchi (Nationalist Agenda) to spread the message of patriotism and pay tribute to soldiers and martyrs. In Kolkata, a rally was led by Firhad Hakim from Garden Reach to Ramnagar. Another rally in Salt Lake was led by Minister Sujit Bose, featuring patriotic songs, banners, national flags, slogans, and cultural performances. Firhad Hakim said, “Our soldiers have made us proud with the way they defeated Pakistan,” and added, “The way terrorists targeted tourists in Pahalgam was responded to effectively by Indian forces.”
Rallies were also held in Krishnanagar, Basirhat, Birbhum, Paschim Bardhaman, and other parts of the state. The events were organized to showcase national pride and unity in response to recent attacks and to honour the Indian Army. TMC mentioned these rallies on its official X handle, sharing visuals from the events and messages expressing respect for the armed forces. The rallies were marked by large public participation and high visibility of national symbols.
